Idols We Make

Isaiah 41:24: “Behold, they are nothing and their works are less than nothing. An abomination is the man who chooses them.”

They are nothing but things forged, carved, and cast by men. Their works exist only the imagination of men’s minds. And men choose them, love them, desire them.

What do you make into an idol? What do you imagine it to be able to do? Why and when and how do you choose it? (I’m asking myself these questions too).
