Consider Christ!

This is a very timely and profound post at Of First Importance.

Look more at justification than sanctification. In the highest commands consider Christ, not as an exacter to require, but as a debtor, an undertaker, to work in you and for you. If you have looked at your resolutions, endeavors, workings, duties, qualifications, etc., more than at the merits of Christ, it will cost you dear.

You probably have, but, if not, you should subscribe to OFI.

These guys are part of “Sovereign Grace”, the church group that my church is talking about joining. They are Reformed Charismatics. Don’t let the Baptists find out you like them.

  3. Lee says:

Ben – I guess you didn’t know that CJ Mahaney and Al Mohler frequently headline the same conferences…

I’ve actually looked into church planting with Sovereign Grace, but their requirements are pretty strict and you have to be actively involved in a Sovereign Grace church.
