Seeing my own sin exposed and brought into the light sucks. It is a painful and difficult process. Yet, a necessary and life-saving process.
Yesterday, I read on the first page of Christianity and Liberalism, by J. Gresham Machen. this quote:
Light may seem at times to be an impertinent intruder, but it is always beneficial in the end.
I’m grateful for my God who dwells in unimaginable light, and sent that light into the world in the person of Christ, and now, has given his Spirit — who sheds light in the dark crevices of my sinful heart.
God is light, and light, that impertinent intruder, will accomplish, by his grace, its beneficial end in my life.
